Losing a pet is no doubt difficult. Pet owners can help put their beloved animals to rest with care and compassion by creating a homemade Burial Caskets. You'll need little more than a shoebox and some craft supplies to make a one-of-a-kind coffin that will fit most pets. Create a plain black coffin, or showcase some of the animal's personality by including vibrant colors and designs to the exterior of the shoebox.
Measure your desired length, height and width in the boxes. If you want to fit an entire person in the coffin, make it at least about 6 feet long and about 3 feet wide. The coffin should be about 18 inches tall.
Tape together the boxes to form a three-dimensional rectangle. Use the packing or masking tape Casket Prices.
Cut up and tape boxes together until you get a long flat piece that measures 7 feet long by 3 1/2 feet wide.
Fold over 6 inches on three of the sides of the long, flat piece.
Tape the unfolded edge of the 7-foot-long piece to the edge of the cube to create a cover.
Spray-paint the rest of the cardboard coffin. You can also spray-paint the inside red.
Set it to dry overnight, and allow the fumes to air out before using it.
